Our Wedding

"I first met Hayley Alexander at a house party hosted by a mutual friend in the spring of 2023. From the moment I noticed her, she was the center of gravity for the entire party: radiant, magnetic, and impossible to ignore. I found myself looking for any excuse to talk to her, drawn in by her sparkling laugh and the effortless joy she brought to every interaction. After meeting her that evening, I knew that I had to find a way to see her again. Unbeknownst to me, Hayley felt the same, and through a bit of mutual scheming we began dating early that summer. Each time we went out to dinner, I was struck by how effortlessly the evening flowed. Any trace of anxiety or hesitation melted away in the warmth of our laughter as our conversations drifted late into the night. Before I knew it, I realized that I had fallen completely and utterly in love with her. As our relationship grew, I loved how naturally our values, goals, and ambitions aligned. For the first time ever, I felt as if I could be truly genuine and myself. With Hayley, I had found not just a cheerleader but a true partner, someone who challenged and inspired me to keep growing and to face life’s challenges head-on. That foundation of mutual trust, respect, and admiration has been the bedrock upon which our relationship has thrived. Through countless nights of cooking together, movie marathons, and adventures around town, I realized that I couldn’t imagine a future without Hayley. Never in my life had I believed that I would be lucky enough to find someone who truly brought out the best in me and made me into a better version of myself across all aspects of my life. Through self reflection, prayer, and conversations with those closest to me, I knew I wanted to build my life with her. In the late spring of 2025, just a little over two years after that first night, I began planning my proposal. Anyone who knows Hayley knows she’s famously observant and nearly impossible to surprise. So, with the help of our closest friends and family, I orchestrated both the proposal itself and an elaborate misinformation campaign to keep her from catching on. On August 16th, 2025, I made the best decision of my life when I asked Hayley Alexander to marry me, to be my teammate, my best friend, and my wife. As we prepare to begin the next chapter of our story, facing all of life’s joys and challenges as one, we could not be more excited to celebrate the happiest day of our lives with all of you. We strongly encourage guests to book accommodations as soon as possible! We will be offering transportation to/from wedding weekend events with confirmation via your RSVP. For ease of logistics and the best rates, we recommend you book through Kiawah Island Resort or the Sanctuary. There is also availability via VRBO, Airbnb, and at the Andell Inn. See below for details. Please note: Transportation for wedding weekend events will not run from Seabrook Island, Kiawah River, or Charleston. Please stay on Kiawah Island or at the Andell Inn if you plan to utilize provided transportation. Flights

The closest major airport is Charleston International Airport (CHS) located ~45 minutes from Kiawah Island.

Airport Transportation

If you plan to spend extra time on the Island, we recommend renting a car for the most flexibility. Rental cars are available from the airport through all major companies. Private cars or Ubers are available from the airport to Kiawah Island; however, please note that Ubers do not operate on the Island itself. We recommend arranging your return transportation to the airport in advance. To do so, we recommend SC Express. They can be contacted directly by phone or email for availability and rates. If you are staying on the island, transportation to and from all wedding weekend events will be provided upon request with your RSVP.

Things to Do on Kiawah Island

Kiawah Island is the perfect mix of beach, nature, and Lowcountry charm. If you’re staying for the weekend, here are some of our favorite ways to spend your free time.

This is one of our favorite spots on the island! Relax with cocktails, food, and sweeping Atlantic Ocean views. The Ryder Cup Bar is casual yet iconic at the Ocean Course clubhouse— a great spot for sunset drinks even if you’re not golfing.

The Ryder Cup Bar

Tee off at one of the most beautiful golf destinations in the world. Courses: The Ocean Course (famous for the Ryder Cup &amp; PGA Championship), Turtle Point, Osprey Point, Cougar Point, and Oak Point.

Golf at Kiawah Island Golf Resort

Relax on Kiawah’s 10 miles of pristine shoreline. Beachwalker Park is the island’s only public beach access, with parking, seasonal lifeguards, and rentals for beach chairs and umbrellas.

Kiawah Beachwalker Park

Explore over 30 miles of scenic paved trails and ride along the hard-packed sand at low tide. We often spot deer, egrets, and herons while cruising through the island.

Kiawah Island BIke Rentals

One of the island’s most beautiful natural settings. Launch a kayak from Mingo Point to explore the quiet Kiawah River and its winding marshes.&nbsp;Be on the look out for dolphins - if you are lucky you may get to see a few!

Mingo Point

Book courts for tennis or pickleball, join daily clinics, or sign up for open-play sessions led by resort pros. The center offers private lessons, junior programs, and plenty of options for all skill levels.
