If you want something easy but a little more substantial than coffee and a pastry, head to the Nest. It’s tucked inside Night Heron Park and has sandwiches, salads, and great breakfast options to grab before a day of exploring.

Jasmine Porch – The Sanctuary Hotel

1 Sanctuary Beach Dr, Kiawah Island, SC 29455

kiawahresort.com/dining/jasmine-porch

For a more elevated start to the day, Jasmine Porch is hard to beat. They have a Southern breakfast buffet — think biscuits, shrimp and grits, fresh fruit, and mimosas. It’s a beautiful spot to linger over coffee and enjoy the resort atmosphere.

Beaches & Cream – The Sanctuary Hotel

If you’re looking for something casual, this little café is a sweet stop. They serve coffee, smoothies, and breakfast bites in the morning — and later in the day, their ice cream is a must-try.

Lunch

The Ryder Cup Bar – Ocean Course Clubhouse

1000 Ocean Course Dr, Kiawah Island, SC 29455

kiawahresort.com/dining/the-ryder-cup-bar

This might be our favorite “must-do” spot on the island. The views of the Ocean Course and Atlantic Ocean are unreal — especially at sunset. We recommend the crispy shrimp and a cocktail on the terrace to start.

Cherrywood BBQ & Ale House – Osprey Point Clubhouse

700 Governors Dr, Kiawah Island, SC 29455

https://kiawahresort.com/dining/cherrywood-bbq-and-ale-house

This is a great spot for a laid-back lunch or dinner on the island. The smoked meats are incredible, and they have over 60 bourbons and a long craft beer list. The pulled pork and ribs are crowd-pleasers with homemade sauces.

Loggerhead Grill – The Sanctuary Poolside

1 Sanctuary Beach Dr, Kiawah Island, SC 29455

kiawahresort.com/dining/loggerhead-grill

We love this spot for a casual poolside meal with a view of the Atlantic. It’s perfect for a burger, salad, or frozen cocktail after some beach time. Super relaxed and family-friendly.

Jasmine Porch – The Sanctuary Hotel

1 Sanctuary Beach Dr, Kiawah Island, SC 29455

Great for a slower, more refined lunch. The she-crab soup and fried green tomatoes are Lowcountry classics, and the relaxed but upscale atmosphere makes it perfect if you want to linger over a glass of wine.

Dinner

The Ocean Room – The Sanctuary Hotel

1 Sanctuary Beach Dr, Kiawah Island, SC 29455

This is Kiawah’s signature fine-dining experience. It’s Forbes 4-Star rated, with an incredible steak program and one of the most extensive wine lists in the region. It’s definitely a splurge — but if you’re looking for a special night out, this is the place.

The Atlantic Room – Ocean Course Clubhouse

1000 Ocean Course Dr, Kiawah Island, SC 29455

This is hands-down one of the best places on Kiawah for fresh, locally sourced seafood. The setting is stunning — floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the 18th hole of The Ocean Course and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. We love coming here for a special night; it feels upscale but still coastal.

Drinks

The Lobby Bar – The Sanctuary Hotel

1 Sanctuary Beach Dr, Kiawah Island, SC 29455

We love stopping into The Lobby Bar for a cocktail before or after dinner. The bartenders make amazing drinks, and it has the same refined atmosphere as the hotel itself.

Ryder Cup Bar – Ocean Course Clubhouse

More casual, but a good choice if you’re looking for a lively sports-bar feel with beers on tap and TVs everywhere.
